These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the ResearchMate mobile application ("the app"). By using ResearchMate, you agree to these Terms.
By downloading, installing, or using ResearchMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of the app.
ResearchMate offers a free tier with usage limits and a Pro subscription that unlocks unlimited features. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings. Refunds are subject to the applicable app store's policies.
AI-generated content is provided as writing assistance only. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all AI suggestions before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or completeness of AI-generated content, citations, or references. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of AI-generated material complies with the academic integrity rules of your institution.
Reference metadata is retrieved from third-party sources such as Google Books, CrossRef, and Google Scholar. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of bibliographic data, and you should verify citations against the original sources.
ResearchMate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including loss of data, missed deadlines, or academic consequences. We recommend keeping backups of important documents.
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access for users who violate these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time; this removes all locally stored data from your device.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
