Privacy Policy

The short version
Hifz works offline. Your memorization progress, settings, and reading history are stored only on your device. We do not run user accounts, and we do not sell, share, or trade any personal data.
Data stored on your device
- Memorization progress, session history, and streaks
- App preferences (language, reciter, translation, font size)
- Your display name, if you choose to enter one
This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Data we collect
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the app is used (e.g. which screens are opened) and to diagnose crashes. This data is anonymous, contains no Quran content or personal identifiers, and is processed under Google's privacy terms.
Permissions
- Microphone — used only during recitation practice; audio is processed on-device and never uploaded.
- Location — used only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction; never stored or shared.
- Notifications — used only for prayer and memorization reminders you enable.
Children
The app contains no accounts, ads, or in-app messaging, and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date above.
